Training and Lessons

MacGregor Equestrian offers a limited number of lessons for the very beginner to the competitive rider in private or group lessons by Dru MacGregor. Dru has coached students from the local lead line class to competitive riders on the A circuit in hunters, jumpers and equitation. She is also available for ship in lessons and to travel to other facilities. Please contact MacGregor Equestrian for details and availability.

MacGregor Equestrian offers full training board which includes a minimum of five training sessions (includes two to three lessons) per week, daily group or individual turn-out, feeding program, arranging of regular hoof and health care, worming program (excluding the cost of medication), blanket and boot service, clipping and use of indoor and outdoor riding facilities. Boarding Your Horse

MacGregor Equestrian offers a limited number of indoor and outdoor boarding options outside of the full training program. Boarders at the facility are encouraged to participate in the full training or lesson program. Pending availability the facility is able to offer full time outdoor turn out, daily group or individual turn-out, feeding program, arranging of regular hoof and health care (services at owners expense), worming program (excluding the cost of medication), blanket and boot service (services at owners expense), and use of indoor and outdoor riding facilities pending training schedule. Please contact MacGregor Equestrian for facility tours and availability. Clipping Services are available at the facility or may be hired out at an additional cost. Please contact the facility directly for a pricing and quotes.

Competitions and Clinics

MacGregor Equestrian Farms offers competitive opportunities for the human and equine athlete. Under the management and supervision of Dru MacGregor clients have the opportunity to attend competitions suited to their training and skill level. The facility attends a variety of levels of competitions in both Canada and the United States ranging from local schooling series, provincial Trillium level competitions, to Equine Canada Gold rated shows. The facility does not host shows onsite however, offers learning experiences by hosting clinics. Please contact MacGregor Equestrian directly for competitive options and future clinics. In addition to competitions and clinics, MacGregor Equestrian attends a variety of breed shows and qualifiers in Ontario with their facility bred young horses. Attending these events such as the Royal Argicultural Winter Fair Cup Qualifier and Keurings is beneficial in providing young horses with experience and exposure to their future career path.

Student Co-Op Opportunities

MacGregor Equestrian Farms places a high level of emphasis on learning and education. The facility is pleased to have been able to offer students a co-op position that provided them experience and knowledge in the hunter – jumper equestrian industry and facility operations and management. MEF has worked with students from both high school and college programs. If you are interested in completing a co-op with MacGregor Equestrian please contact the facility about future opportunities.
