Rules and Regulations

  • A liability waiver must be signed by all customers prior to any activity at the facility.
  • Owners accept full responsibility for their horse and horse’s actions and will cover any damages and expenses incurred in full.
  • Priority is given to Training and Lesson Horses with regard to use of the facility. Only Training and Lesson Horses may use facility owned tack and equipment.
  • All riders are REQUIRED to wear approved ASTM riding helmets while mounted at all times, and boots with an appropriate heel are also required.
  • Proper footwear including closed toe shoes are required for riding and handling.
  • All riders under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by person over the age of 18 when riding not in a lesson unless prior agreements have been made with Dru MacGregor.
  • There is NO jumping unless in a supervised lesson.
  • There is NO hacking on the roads at any time and no hacking the facilities’ horses unless prior agreements have been made with Dru MacGregor.
  • There are NO outside trainers permitted at the facility.
  • Leadshanks must be used while moving horses about the facility unless tacked up.
  • Handlers/riders are asked to NOT use cellphones while leading or riding horses.

  • Rider Attire during Lessons

  • Approved ASTM Helmet with rider’s hair neatly tied with the suggested use of a hairnet.
  • Paddock boots (black or brown) with a matching half-chap or field boot.
  • Appropriately fitted breeches or jodhpurs. No jeans.
  • Appropriately fitted shirts with no thin straps.
  • Gloves are recommended.

  • Rider Attire During Competitions

  • Approved ASTM Helmet with rider’s hair neatly tied with the suggested use of a hairnet.
  • Field boot or paddock boots (black or brown) with a matching half-chap/garters. Boots should be cleaned and polished prior to each competition.
  • Breeches or jodhpurs depending on rider age.
  • Leather or dark coloured belt.
  • White long sleeved shirt. Additional colours may be used. Please consult with MacGregor Equestrian.
  • Dark coloured show jacket (Navy blue, black, grey). Additional colours may be used. Please consult with MacGregor Equestrian.
  • Black or dark brown gloves.

  • Equine Attire


  • All items should be clearly labelled.
  • All items below are recommendations and suggestions. Items can be used outside of the guidelines below. For further details or question please contact Dru MacGregor directly.
  • Owners are requested to purchase dark coloured stable wraps with white cottons.
  • Saddle pads and polos should be white for competitions and white, black, navy blue, or hunter green for schooling.
  • Blankets are requested to be dark in color (blue, black, grey, green, etc)
  • Halters are requested to be leather
